Dupont Borough is a residential-oriented community of 2539 people (2020 CENSUS) located within the Pittston Area School District. It is midway between cities of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton and is near Pittston; a hub center with two adjoining I-81 interchanges, a turnpike interchange, U.S. Route11, and State Route 315 north and south. It adjoins a major airport and two major industrial parks (Grimes and Centerpoint). It has modern railroad lines, is near major shopping malls, national food franchises, and two truck stops.

Refuse and Sewer Payments can be made during business hours Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm.
24 Hour Police Protection is provided.
The front foyer of the building includes a prescription drug drop off box, collection of old eye glasses for the Lions Club, Redners receipts for the Lions Club, old Flag drop box, as well as drop boxes for refuse, sewer and tax payments.

Council meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm in the James Cocco council chambers, 600 Chestnut Street, Dupont. Special meetings and changes to the schedule are as advertised in the Citizens Voice.
Crime Watch meetings are held the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.
Tax Collector Payments: Tax Hours during Rebate are Monday and Tuesday 4:30 to 6:30. Face/Penalty is Mondays 4:00-6:00pm
